I love the lake, the sunset, our cute doggy (isn't she beautiful?), my new maxi skirt (pulled up because of the water), a friend from Germany being here and this weather. And the smell of the chicken in the oven!

Just came back from our dinner.  I wore one of my favourite dresses. Russian class is cancelled again tomorrow. Hopefully she's feeling better soon. My father-in-law was so lovely: "only 24 more years until your silver wedding". We're watching a movie now and enjoying the rest of our anniversary. Good night!

Heute vor einem Jahr stieg die Nervosität, wir waren seit ein paar Minuten im Standesamt und kurz davor "Ja" zu sagen. Die Erinnerung daran zaubert mir ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Und der Gedanke an den 27. Juli 2012 verwandelt mein Gesicht ins nächste Lächeln. Das Wetter ist heute genau so schön wie vor einem Jahr. Wir werden den Tag in vollen Zügen genießen und innerlich immer darüber staunen, wie schnell das Jahr vergangen ist. Wo ist die Zeit denn hin?

... und es wird noch heißer!

Ich genieße das warme Wetter wie immer auf dem Balkon. Ich könnte ja eigentlich an den See fahren, der immerhin schon 20°C hat, und dort ins Wasser springen - aber ich möchte die Mittagssonne meiden. Aber morgen vielleicht. Heute Morgen wollte ich zur Vorlesung und was dann? Reifen hatte einen Platten. Kurzerhand habe ich das Fahrrad von meinem Mann genommen, auch wenn die Stange eher hinderlich ist und das Rad riiiiesig. Aber dafür schnell. Ich war somit gerade noch Pünktlich, phewww.  Heute gibt es mal wieder Mittag, weil wir beide Abends nicht hier sind. Es gibt aber nur etwas Salat. Gestern Abend hatten wir leckeren Spargel. Ich könnte wirklich jeden Tag Spargel essen!

I'm enjoying this lovely hot weather on our balcony. I could have a swim in the lake (20°C water temp) but I do want to avoid the midday sun. Maybe tomorrow. This morning I had a flat tire. Great. I had to take my husband's bike (biiiiiiiig bike! getting onto it is not the easiest - once I'm on it I am totally fine - getting off however looks really stupid as well - but it is a fast bike so I just made it on time to my lecture!) We are going to have some lunch today (salad - with or without shrimps?), since we are both not here tonight for dinner. Yesterday we had delicious asparagus, I could eat it everyday. 

PS: Ich würde außerdem sehr gerne noch auf den letzten Drücker beim Give-away von Puppenzimmer mitmachen. Die Preise sind wirklich toll, da kann man sich gar nicht entscheiden, welches man am liebsten gewinnen würde! Versucht doch auch schnell noch euer Glück! :) 

London Haul

Hier seht ihr nun die Dinge, die ich mir in London gekauft habe. Vorgestern kam außerdem noch ein schwarzer Maxi Rock von New Yorker und der "Love, Peace and Purple" Lack aus der You Rock! LE dazu. Ich bin stolz auf mich, dass ich keinen Schmuck gekauft habe - ich habe wirklich genug. Auch wenn ich mich bei NY ja in eine Kette verliebt hab...

Here's my London shopping haul. On Monday I bought another simple black maxi skirt and a new nail polish from Essence - apparently it's meant to be a dupe of Chanel's "Paradoxal". I really like the colour. I'm quite proud that I stopped myself from buying jewellery. I really have enough. Although I have to admit that I fell in love with this necklace at New Yorker... Jeez, always the same!

Heute hat meine beste Freundin Geburtstag und es war so schön ihre Stimme zu hören und die Freude darin! Ich hoffe sie hat einen wunderbaren Tag auch wenn ich leider nicht dabei sein kann :(! Außerdem haben wir unseren Termin fix und 28°C im Schatten. Gestern hatte ich meine erste Schicht im Hotel, Sa die nächste! Ich werde nun noch etwas die Sonne genießen! :)

It's my best friend's birthday today and it was so nice hearing her voice this morning! She seemed to be really happy about my call! I hope she's having a lovely day with the other girls, it's a real big pity I cannot be there with her! We have our wedding date set for next year, 28°C in the shade and I had my first shift at the hotel last night. Next one on saturday. I'm going to enjoy the sun now! xx

I love my bike

Gestern war die Strecke um den See Autofrei und das haben wir natürlich auch genutzt um bei dem tollen Wetter die 44 km mit dem Rad zu fahren. Ein paar Zwischenstops am See und auch im Wasser (das wunderbar aussah und eigentlich viel mehr türkis/blau!) kühlten uns bei den Temperaturen ab. Ich hatte meine Cam natürlich zuhause vergessen, deswegen gibt es nur iPhone pics. Da ich Abends festgestellt habe, dass meine SD-Karte London scheinbar nicht überlebt hat, hätte ich sie eh umsonst mitgeschleppt. Eine neue SD-Karte habe ich mir heute aber gekauft und nun kann ich wieder fotografieren, juhu. Russisch ist heute morgen ausgefallen, ich war kurz beim Arzt und dann im Hotel - nun schauen wir MacGyver und genießen den Abend ;)

Yesterday we had a 44km bike ride around the lake - no cars were allowed (they should really do that more often! once a year is not enough!). The water looked stunning (turquoise/bluish) and did not feel as cold as I thought it would. I forgot my cam at home (silly me) so I had to take pics with my iPhone. My SD card broke - probably in London although to be honest - I have no clue how! All my pics are still there but I can't take new ones! I bought a new one straight away this morning with more capacity! Russian class was cancelled this morning, I went to the doctor's in the afternoon and had a short visit at the Hotel. Now we're watching telly and enjoying the eve! Hope you guys can enjoy it as well! xx
